Club entry process for the next season 25/26

Any club with teams in U7-U10 age groups wishing to join the league for the 25/26 season will need to complete the league application form, which will become available from the 12th of May 2025, prospective new clubs should enquire via the League Secretary for up-to-date information at info@edmsl.org.uk

Process

Once a new application is received, the League Secretary will contact the applicant club and invite the club officers to an interview with officers of the league.  The interview will take place prior to the league AGM in June.

Every application is subject to approval by the existing membership and will be voted on at the AGM.

All clubs will serve a one year probation.

Criteria

All clubs are required to be England Accredited, or working towards receiving their accreditation by the end of the 25/26 season.

Clubs and teams must be affiliated to Hampshire FA.

Applications can only be considered for clubs that fall within the Southampton Divisional FA Boundary as per the HFA membership rules, the boundary is as follows:

• The area of this Association shall be that portion of Hampshire as bounded by:
  • a line drawn from a point south of and including Warsash
  • to and including Bishop’s Waltham
  • to but excluding Old/New Alresford 
  • then to a point south of, but not including, Winchester (M3 Junction 11) 
  • to but excluding King’s Somborne
  • due west to the county boundary; thence to Pipers Wait (a point on the Hants/Wilts boundary); 
  • thence by a straight line to Pylewell Point (including Lyndhurst) 
  • and from Pylewell Point along the coast to Calshot Castle .
